About the center:
The ARTISAN RESOURCE CENTER was created as a center where Artisans could establish a business plying their trade and make a living at it.
The center houses 27 studios in more than 43,000 square feet with Artists and Craftsmen working in the fields of sculpture, custom furniture making, portrait painting, contemporary painting, ceramics, wood turning, textiles, architecture, wood working, decorative arts, jewelry, flame worked glass, stained glass, graphics, advertising, theatre, film and movie production.
Artisans are able to share information and keep each other up to date on shows, new techniques, or pass on business opportunities to one another through client contacts, and, the center makes it easy for a client to follow the progress of a multi-medium piece by simply walking from studio to studio.
The facility was established in 1986 and artists in the center serve the architectural, design, commercial, wholesale markets, and film industry, although several studios concentrate on retail sales of art and art instruction/classes.
