Artisan Resource Center Spring Open Studios Friday, April 18th, 6 pm - 9pm - reception Saturday, April 19th, 10am - 8pm
20 Artists open their studios to the public
Spring brings with it a freshness after the long winter indoors. This April, ARC will be offering an opportunity for patrons to get out and explore the 43,000 sq ft Art Center . The fine & funtional art center is open to the public twice a year.
Have some fun re-connecting with familiar artists as the artists share their new work , find new artists that have joined the center or, visit artists missed in the past tours.
Scavenger Hunt / information hunt! Get in on the fun and connections by participating in the Artisans' Scavenger Hunt. Get a card from any studio, find the item on the list in each studio, then drop your completed card in the box and you'll have an opportunity to win one of the works or services provided by an ARC artist while you explore the open studios. (need not be present to win)
EXPLORE! Explore the Artisan Resource Center Friday April 18th & Saturday April 19. From paintings , birdhouses, photography, special effects, fabric design, flame worked glass or jewelry making... the center boasts an impressive list of professional artists .
Artists will be offering mini-workshops, performances, demonstrations, and showcasing their new work... jewelry, birdhouses, flame worked glass, paintings, wood turning , metal sculpture or fine furniture - what a great way to herald in spring.
Sign up for classes (keep your resolutions to try something new!) Special class offerings and registration will be available at Open House as well.
WHERE Located a mile south of the Big Chicken on Cobb Parkway, many people don't know the bustling complex even exists. "We are kind of hidden behind the Easy Rental, next to the Marietta Bowling Alley" says landlord Rip Potter, a fellow artisan.
